Dear Friend,

It’s interesting, isn’t it?

Last year, at this time in 2022, we asked if it was cold enough for you since there were patterns of frigid arctic air blasting through our area.

As of this writing in 2023, we’ve experienced unseasonably warm, above-average temperatures and perhaps even upper 40s Fahrenheit near Christmas—certainly not a white Christmas, with very limited snow throughout the Upper Midwest.

While temperatures may change year to year, you know what doesn’t change? God’s promises. He keeps them. They are unwavering.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the complexities of our modern world, the birth of Jesus stands as a testament to God's faithfulness in fulfilling His promises. It reminds us that amidst the uncertainties of life, we can find solace and certainty in God's enduring covenant [think unwavering promise] — a covenant of redemption, forgiveness, and boundless mercy.

You can read the promise in Luke 2 and in the book of Matthew.

This promise signifies the reconciliation between divinity and humanity, offering salvation and eternal hope to all who believe.

It's remarkable to reflect on the story of the birth of Jesus Christ—a humble beginning that symbolizes the power of simplicity, love, and the potential for greatness in even the most unassuming circumstances. The message of Christmas resonates profoundly, teaching us the importance of compassion, generosity, and unity.

In our journey together, we are reminded of the values that we hold dear in our endeavors, just as the birth of Jesus brought hope to the world and a brighter future for you and your family (based on what He did, not on what we do).

Because He loved us, we urge you to show love and consider how you can incorporate compassion and generosity into your life, not just during Christmas but throughout the year. Engage in volunteer work, support charitable causes, or simply be present for someone who needs your empathy and understanding.

May this Christmas season fill your hearts with joy, your homes with laughter, and your lives with abundant blessings. Cherish the moments spent with loved ones, relish the simple pleasures, and embrace the spirit of giving and gratitude.

We wish you and your family the joy and blessings the true meaning of Christmas brings to all of us.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
